Passionate about Equality & Diversity in the Boardroom

I am passionate about equality and diversity in the board room and at all levels within an organisation. I was invited to speak on a panel with Alison Rose, the chief executive of commercial and private banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland,  when the results of her research were announced into Female Entrepreneurship, as an entrepreneur I was able to put my view across as to the barriers faced by women when it comes to access to finance, childcare and the ability to take risks when it came to business.  As black female entrepreneur, I would like to see more women in the Boardroom and more ethnic minorities. With this in mind I have spoken at Lancashire IoD regarding Equality and Diversity, run staff Awaydays for the North west ambulance service and worked with organisations to achieve this goal.
